General interior design takes in a lot of factors. When the basic structure is finished, the designers in charge of the general interior design need to complete the entire interior of the building. In an office building, this could mean provisions for the security people and for the cleaning crews. This also means designing an office space for the chief executive and his staff. The designers need to make sure that all of the employees can enter the building easily and safely. The designers need to make sure that the employees have spaces for telephones and computers and that these items look appealing. They need to make sure that the cords and wires are concealed mainly for safety. In other words, the designers should make sure that the employees do not accidentally trip over all of the necessary cords. General interior design is both aesthetic and practical. Those in charge of general interior design must be practical, but hopefully all of their practical designs will be aesthetically pleasing. In a home, those in charge of general interior design must plan the living room, dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen. These rooms are used for a variety of activities, yet those in charge of general interior design must provide for all of these spaces. In the living room, the designers must work for a comfortable space that is gorgeous. Hopefully, a family will not feel intimidated by the furnishings and avoid this space. The bedrooms could be designed for different people such as an infant or an elderly grandmother. Those responsible for the general interior design will not be able to use just basic one template for these rooms. Homes are for living in rather than viewing in a glossy magazine. Those in charge of the interior design will try to make sure that rooms are designed with comfort in mind as well as being aesthetic and practical.
