A hot trend in outdoor kitchen design is the relatively small, but heavily insulated frig. The outdoor refrigerator ties into the hottest trend in kitchens. The outdoor kitchen island is hot. A stand alone island with marble counter tops, a high grade grill, warmers and quality, quality quality is a must. Turning indoors, the refrigerator theme continues. The current trend is towards bigger, badder units. Frankly, they are huge and come with a million accessories. From wide trays to separate cooling units, the modern frig is amazing. As for the walls themselves, things have become slightly more...personal lately. Some companies have begun designing wall panels that reflect certain moods (think of a mood ring that suddenly comes in the shape of a wall). Set the mood by changing the color of your space. There is no paint required. It seems as though most people have begun heading back to their kitchens. Tired of take out and mediocre chains, Americans just want some good old fashioned cooking. The good news is that you do not have to settle for the same stainless steel fridge that the entire block has. Kitchens are moving in a direction that is entirely up to you. While it may seem as though all new homes have begun to look alike, there is nothing cookie cutter about the latest kitchen advancements. From indoors to outdoors, kitchens have never been better or offered more to the chef of the home. Cooking no longer needs to be a chore. Enjoy yourself.
